When you request the free book. The request form on the Get The Book page asks for your first name, last name and email address. When you submit it, the website also records the date and time, your IP address and the type of browser and device you used.

When you download the book. The website records the date and time of each download, your IP address and your browser type, so that downloads can be counted and misuse prevented.

When you email me. If you write to contact@michaelsauvante.me, I receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message.

Technical information. Like most websites, the web server automatically records standard technical information, such as IP addresses, browser types and the pages requested, to keep the website secure and running properly.

How I use your information

• To email you the link to download the book you requested.
• To reply to your questions and messages.
• To understand how many people are requesting and reading the book.
• To keep the website secure and working properly.

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Cookies

This website uses only a small number of cookies that it needs to work, such as the cookie that remembers your cookie preferences so the cookie banner is not shown on every page. The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

• Hosting. The website and the information described above are stored with Hostinger, the website’s hosting provider.
• Email. Emails sent by the website, including the book download link, are delivered through Hostinger’s email service.
• Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address. Google’s use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

These providers only handle your information as needed to provide their services.

Links to other websites

This website and the book email include links to other websites, such as the We The People Campaign and UNIEX. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and I am not responsible for how they handle your information.

How long information is kept

• Book requests are kept until they are no longer needed, or until you ask me to delete them.
• Download records are deleted automatically after 12 months.
• Records of emails sent by the website are deleted automatically after 14 days.
• Website backups may contain this information for a limited time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to see the personal information I hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Just email contact@michaelsauvante.me and I will respond as soon as I am able. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection and protected access to the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but I work to keep your information safe.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information here, please email me and I will delete it.
